Howard Gardner
1. "In a Nutshell" is Chapter One of Multiple Intelligences: New Horizons. It gives an overview of the multiple intelligences theory. I use it early in the course.
2. "Logical-Mathematical Intelligence" is Chapter 7 of Frames of Mind. It can be used with Plato or Carson.
3. There's a chapter on Einstein's mind in Creating Minds, which I'm going to "pair" with Carson this spring.
4. Chapter 9 of Creating Minds is called "Mahatma Gandhi: A Hold upon others."
5. Chapter 6 of Five Minds for the Future is "The Ethical Mind" -- which I use with Gandhi also. (It helps to prep students to read this with an overview of Freud's id, ego, and superego.)
6. Chapter ??? of Creating Minds is on T.S. Eliot -- which I plan to use in the art section.
7. Also for the art section, there are chapters on Picasso and Stravinsky in Creating Minds.
8. Last, for the art section, There's a chapter called "The Creating Mind" in Five Minds for the future.
